Our Team
Kevin Decoteau ~ President/Owner
Kevin is a Certified Laboratory Technician with 17 years of experience, having opened his own orthodontic laboratory in 2006. Prior to opening his own lab, he worked as Operation Manager in a high-volume in-house laboratory. Kevin chose to embrace technology and purchased an ObJet30 OrthoDesk 3D printer to best serve the offices that use intraoral scanners. He fully understands the need for high quality appliances that require little or no adjustment to reduce valuable “chair time”. Kevin believes that communication between the doctor and the laboratory is imperative in customizing appliances to the doctor’s specifications for complete customer satisfaction.
Michele Decoteau ~ VP Sales and Marketing
Michele joined the OC Team in 2009 as VP of Sales and Marketing. Throughout her career, Michele has provided over 20 years of Extraordinary Customer Service and Quality control analysis. She brings extensive experience in building customer relationships, excellent communication skills, process improvements, attention to detail and Quality and Training to guarantee 100% customer satisfaction. In addition to Sales & Marketing, Michele manages the shipping and receiving departments. The most rewarding part of Michele’s job is creating meaningful professional relationships with the clients. She loves crafting ‘office appreciation gifts’ that she delivers several times each year.
Crystal Decoteau ~ Senior Laboratory Technician
Crystal received certification from Great Lakes Orthodontic Laboratory courses in July 2012. Crystal is an expert at custom acrylics, trimming and polishing. Crystal enjoys the challenging patients’ requests for custom designs. “Out create the Ortho Lab” is our slogan. She also oversees the quality control before the appliance is shipped to your office. Crystal embraced the new 3D technology and is our lead technician responsible for preparing your digital scans before sending them to our own ObJet30 OrthoDesk 3D printer.
Our Technicians
Our Lab Technicians have a variety of experience, from 19 years as a Certified Dental Technician to new technicians who are in the certification process with ongoing training and classes. The classes keep our technicians current with new technologies.
Outside of the Lab: Kevin and Michele have been married for 35 years. They have 3 children and 2 grandchildren. Traveling around the United States in an RV is their passion having visited 43 of the United States, Canada and Baja California, Mexico. The majority of the destinations include visiting beaches between Key West, FL to the Bay of Fundy in New Brunswick, Canada. National Parks are another favorite destination. Outdoor activities and photography are among their hobbies.
